Bermuda Fashion Festival - one of the most anticipated events of the year. This week long fashion event is normally held the summer but because of America's Cup the host decided to push it back a few months which frankly I was please about. For one you're not dying in the humid Bermuda weather and secondly you're not dying in the humid Bermuda weather. Yes, it's that bad. Unfortunately I had just had surgery one week prior to the events and I was only able to attend the Local Designer show. The show was so amazing not only did I get to support one of my close friends showcase her very first collection but I was also inspired to create my own just by looking at the creations my fellow Bermudians made.
My outfit was a spare of the moment random throw together that I did the day of the event, and I strongly believe those are the best outfits sometimes. No real thought just true passion and style. I didn't have a vision at all I just came upon this blazer and I knew I could make something amazing out of it. This was a mans large blazer that I pulled off my shoulders and buttoned incorrectly to create this dress like silhouette. I added the suede black hat to add some character to the outfit and it suddenly turned into a 'Clueless' themes looked.
Friends that slay together stay together. My best friend Katia and I surely showed out as always.
